Living on the edge of Exmoor, we're fortunate to spend time exploring its rivers, valleys and moorland. One walk in particular continues to inspire us—the route alongside the River Barle from Simonsbath towards the remains of Wheal Eliza, one of Exmoor's historic copper mines. Surrounded by ancient woodland and the quiet reminders of the area's industrial past, it's easy to imagine the miners who once worked these hills in search of the copper that lay beneath them.

That connection between Exmoor's rich mining heritage and the timeless beauty of copper became the inspiration for Exmoor Copper.

Every Exmoor Copper bullion piece is individually handcrafted and hand finished in our workshop. Rather than mass-producing identical items, we create unique pieces in small numbers, many of which can be personalised or made as bespoke commissions. Each bar carries subtle characteristics that come from being individually made by hand, making every piece genuinely one of a kind.
